The issue is most likely that the recipients don't have a google account setup for the email address at which they are receiving the document. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this & hoping it's something simple because our main user has stated she is going back to outlook,word & excel. When I tested by forwarding the email to my bt email & using IE there was no problem viewing them. I have experienced this myself & today had to resend an email with a google doc reformatted in. However, I'm getting flack already because of the learning curve but mostly due to the real problem of people in other organisations being unable to open our gmail attachments when inserted from Google Drive.

I am part-time & the only remotely IT literate person here so I figured Gapps has got to be the simplest & most reliable choice. I have convinced our small charity to move to Gapps recently based on my own experience using this service &, due to increased users, having to choose between in house server or cloud based. I can't seem to find a similar problem anywhere so here goes.
